Tipping The Velvet at LIPA Sixth Form

For my final piece at LIPA Sixth Form College, my group performed the Sarah Waters play, Tipping the Velvet. I played a number of parts including 'Father,'Ralph, and an umbrella salesman. It was great fun and hard work, and we performed the play over three nights.

My accent work was spot on.

In the above picture, you can see me as Father, an oyster chef.

And here, as Ralph giving a speech at the socialist Rally:

A man giving an impassioned speech. A women's rights placard is in the background

The speech probably went better in Ralph's head.

And here I am as a dancing umbrella salesman:
A man dancing with an umbrella in a crowd

Why umbrellas? who knows.
